Another great win for PwC!
Five in a row for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as we celebrate the 10th RBO Tag Rugby Tournament
We celebrated the 10th RBO Tag Rugby Tournament on Saturday 18th September back in Railway Union Sports Club. It was a soft day, which was a first for the annual tag tournament, but it didn’t deter anyone from coming out on the day and giving it their best!
We had 6 teams competing on the day - Pioneer Investments, PwC, RBS, UBS, HSBC and Citi. An afternoon of sliding around on the wet pitches saw PwC and Pioneer Investments going head to head in the final. It was very close throughout the game, with Pioneer Investments looking like they could take the title, but a strong PwC team, captained by James Clarke, came out on top with a very close 5-4 win. Congratulations to the team!
A tasty barbeque and some drinks awaited the hungry players after the afternoon of games. We presented the winners with their prizes… the wooden spoon to UBS, the bowl to HSBC and the trophy to PwC! Man of the match was Gary Ashe, and lady of the match was Gertrude Fitzpatrick.
For the 10th year running the tournament was a great success - we raised in excess of €27,000, which will go a very long way in Zimbabwe. Sincere thanks to our team sponsors: Pioneer Investments, PwC, RBS, UBS, HSBC and Citi. You have all contributed so much in the last 10 years to the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus, and your support allows us to continue in the task of saving lives… and for that, we truly thank you.
